Tanking is fun but there are too many players that don't understand threat and aggro management. I think this is why most of the prot warriors went on to another tree. It is so frustrating being in a group with 3 DPS'rs all soloing a different mob and screaming that the tank isn't holding aggro.

I love tanking when everyone understands the game, it is when they don't and think a tank is a magic aggro magnet that can spam some kind of AoE perma taunt that tanking is a bitch.

Prot warriors can tank but the group has to let them. In most cases everyone is trying a speed run through the instance and the blame goes on the tank who is not given time to establish aggro or the healer who was out of mana when the mage decided to pull a group of 6 elites with a pyroblast.
