The Customer service forums
So, the Ban hammer hit this week. They toasted many many accounts (no number) of persons using botting tools. To which I say good.
However, they are evidently also banning people using the G15 keyboard. They don’t, of course, say why those people were banned, which is, I suppose, fair. They don’t want to tip their hands as to their methods. However, I was thinking about buy a G15.
So the problem is that you can’t really ever get information from Blizzard. They have the worst customer service in the world. Whether it’s their insisitence that your getting hacked is your own fault and they will only most grudgingly help you (see Big Bear Butt or the whiny Amanda on WoW insider for immediately accessible examples) or the just outright refusal to acknowledge problems (we’ve all had the experience, but there are half a hundred blogged examples…like Liquid Silver’s I’m the only one who didn’t get my badges example). So you go to the Customer Service forums to find answers…You know, if it were just the lack of answers, it might not annoy me so much…The problem is that so many who post there are pushy know it alls. They all seem to think they speak with the authority of a CM/GM on that board. Look people, forgive me if I don’t accept your answer. But you don’t have any real knowledge or REAL authority to speak. And half the time, you don’t answer the specific question I pose. Learn semantics so you understand how narrowly I scope my questions:P.
